Ten Stone Project (tentative name)
This page is just for the Ten Stone Project.
I was inspired when I saw a documentary on Alzheimer’s Disease called “The Memory Loss Tapes” on HBO. One of the last people they focused on was this little old lady who lived on this big farm. She used to paint a lot, but as she aged, she just wandered around and ate things she picked up. She had painted a rock though and it was one of the camera shots. I thought what a great idea - to paint rocks.
This idea quickly took hold in my brain and spurred a massive idea for an entire project. I took it to my 8yr old son and we came up with 6, possibly 7 categories (we called them series) for the stones.
Series 1 - Things Found Naturally in Nature
We are going to paint bugs, plants, animals. Things you would normally find in nature, on our stones. Then take them to trails or around town and place them.
